I have just read in the paper that Monday 1st September is Random Acts of Kindness Day. I challenge you to record your random act of kindness for this week, under 'comments'. There is going to be a school-wide focus later in the term; this will be good practice! Hopefully random acts of kindness will be a habit, NOT something you just do on one day (or week). Start with doing something for those people who do so much for you... your parents! :)

I took on the challenge Mrs Henare. I have just finished cooking tea, cleaned mums dressing table (without breaking anything)and wrote a poem to dad about how much I love him.
Oh wow, Brooklyn. Your Mum and Dad will be overwhelmed with happiness and gratitude.
I cleaned my Mum and Dads room because it was a Total mess!
I did every chore, I normally do. straight after school.I also did everything mum & dad asked.
Anonymous, I need someone like you to sort out my total messes!! Keep up the great work, Liam. Your Mum and Dad will be VERY happy with you.
I picked two lovely flowers for my mum and dad.
I cleaned my room, vacuumed the house and cleaned the trampoline.
I made my mum a cup of tea.
Astin, when my son, Paul, was five, he often gave me flowers. I was so touched, but... the only problem was that he picked them from other people's gardens on the way home from school!
Awesome, Astin, Ben and Kendyl. There must be some very happy parents, this week. :)
I made my coffee this morning.
Oops I meant my mum's coffee.
Glad you cleared that up, Brodie. I was about to say that it's not about random acts of kindness to yourself. Haha! I bet Mum enjoyed that coffee.
I made my Mum a paper vase and paper flowers that she will be able to keep forever. They don't need any water so they won't die.
I also wrote a lovely poem for my Mum and Dad about how much I love them.
I did a poem for mum and dad and entertain mum and dad
and i also made paper flowers with Kiano
Nan said, "I have to sleep in my bed all night or no basketball". When I woke up I realized I had stayed in my bed all by myself and my Nan was very happy.
Emily, the vase of flowers and poem show that you put so much thought into your random act. Well done. Ella, I'd LOVE to see you entertaining Mum and Dad and I hope Kiano appreciated the paper flowers! Jayden, I know all about boys who don't like sleeping in their own beds. Nana Must be very happy with you today. :)
This week I helped mum with my little baby sister and took the rubbish bags out.
Instead of me spending the money I earned I put it in my dad`s money jar.
I made my mum and dad dinner and dessert.

I gave Mrs Henare a chocolate crackle. And she said that was that my random acts of kindness day to her.
Yum yum! Delicious. Thanks, Brodie.

I wonder who that was?
It must be that ANONYMOUS person, Brodie. You could set up a business selling chocolate crackles. :)
